Frightened Rabbit - Midnight Organ Fight

I haven't heard this album yet, but from what I gather on myspace, these guys (Frightened Rabbit) are an indie rock group from Glasgow, and they're kinda like the Twilight Sad, but they're a lot more upbeat. Anyway, the guy's gotta nice voice and I think the guitar player knows what he's doing in terms of keeping an often repetitive and boring genre interesting.

1. The Modern Leper
2. I Feel Better
3. Good Arms vs. Bad Arms
4. Fast Blood
5. Old Old Fashioned
6. The Twist
7. Bright Pink Bookmark
8. Head Rolls Off
9. My Backwards Walk
10. Keep Yourself Warm
11. Extrasupervery
12. Poke
13. Floating in the Forth
14. Who'd You Kill Now?

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin - Discogpraphy

I love these guys. Their first album, "Broom", sounds like a teenage band so young, so innocent, still trying to find a voice of their own. The songs follow no ones rules and in the process find a quality not often seen in modern indie pop. Their second album, "Pershing", is almost completely different. They seem to have a lot more production, and their song writing formula definitely found some conservatism as they have started to sound like some bastard son of the Format. Anyway, it's still good. It's good music for playing at 2 am on the way back from your girlfriends house ... especially "Broom".

1. Glue Girls
2. Boring Fountain
3. Dead Right

5. Modern Mystery
6. Some Constellation

Annuals - Be He Me

This album is one of my all time favorites. It's so weird, and usually I don't like stuff like this but it works out extremely well. These guys have a good handle on diversity, as the album is an eclectic mix of everything from intense yelling over power chords, to mellow, electronic-acoustic masterpieces. It's redonkulous. Check it out

1. Brother
2. Dry Clothes
3. Complete, Or Completing
4. Carry Around
5. Chase You Off

So, yah, welcome to the revolution.

Midnight Juggernauts - Dystopia

Really surprised me as I didn't think I would like these guys, but they grew on me after a while. They're basically, as everyone describes them, following in Daft Punk's trail, but I think that's kinda lazy. They're better than Crystal Castles but they're not as good as Daft Punk, and they're playing around in the Cut Copy ballpark. Anyway, it's catchy, it's electronic, it's good.

1. Intro
2. Ending of an Era
3. Into the Galaxy
4. Shadows
5. Worlds Converged
6. Dystopia
7. Road to Recovery
8. Scorpius
9. Twenty Thousand Leagues
